| For how long have you done photography? How did you begin? My mother was an amatuer photographer she put the camera in my hand at the age of 11. I haven't put it down since. |
| What has been your education as a photographer? I studied at School of Visual Arts. Got my Associates degree from the Fashion Insitute of Technology, and later got my BFA from the Academy of Art Collage. |

| What is your favourite type of photography? I love shooting fashion and portrature. the act of photography is passion! |
| What do you try to express through your photography? Anything that is of the momment. Emotion,mood,feeling. |
| How do you choose your subjects? I don't really go about choosing my subjects. When i meet someone I might say "I would love to photograph you". I then choose how i'm going to photograph them and at that time it is when the lighting, composition and everything else comes into play. |
| What type of preparation do you do before undertaking the photo session? Only fashion shoots I really do alot of prep work for. Working with models,stylist hair and makeup pepole getting everything ready for shoot days. |
| Do you normally photograph with a purpose already in mind, or do you let yourself go with the flow? I just go with the flow. I never tried to get to involved with every detail. I try and photograph the moment. |
| Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why? I have and always will use Nikon equipment. Just my prefrence |
| Describe your current equipment: cameras, lenses, computers, accessories... Nikon equipment both anolog and digital. PC computers ( now a days the only diffrence between Mac and PC really is the command and control keys right?) |
| What software and plug-ins do you use to retouch and manage your photos? Photoshope... there is now subsitute |
| What measures do you take to protect your work against Internet piracy? I just watermark them |
| Which past masters of photography do you most admire? Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Edward Sticien, Horst P Horst, Brasai, |
| Are technology and digital retouching reducing the gap between professionals and amateurs? Yes everyone is a photographer once they get a digital camera. The difference between professional and amateurs is a profesional knows exposure, amateurs trust whats on thier little screen. We call that "chimpin or chimpers". Take the photo quickly look at your screen. Like a chimp. |
| What is your team of habitual collaborators like? When it comes to fashion shoots i have a team to help . assitants, hair and make-up, stylist and a producer. |
| Do you consider yourself more technical or more artistic? Artistic. |
| What have you learned about the art of framing and composition? Still learning |
| How does one develop the instinct of knowing when to press the shutter release button? I don't know. I just feel it. |
| When should one use film, and when should one use digital? Good question. |
| Does photography have the recognition that it should have in contemporary art museums? Yes |
| Which websites for photographers do you frequently visit? I try and vist every photographer that has a web site on the world wide web.
I get my inspiration from other peoples work. |
| Is there any particular technique that you could share? Keep shooting everyday. |
