Life, love and historical figures and experiences ARE my inspiration. I channel different experiences as well as people , places and things into my creations. Ideas happen as i am creating and painting on a blank canvas etc...
What role does technology play in your creative process?
Well, obviously technology in creating my limited editions of my art has become very important as does the kilns im use for my pottery and the computer i use everyday!
What is art?
Art is any thought or creative process born by a dream or a wish. Art births life and a rebirth of thought.
When do you get your best ideas?
In bed, In my garden....on a hike...you never know where it's going to happen!
How do you evaluate whether an idea is good or not?
I go with my gut...... My intuition, it's all we have! Sit very quietly and listen to your own! It wont lie.

The making of the first kiln, flight and the first computer art program.
When and how did you begin to see yourself as an artist?
I was 9 and started painting in oils...the feel of the brush in my hand and the gliding strokes i felt as one with the media and KNEW it was for me!
Why do so many artists and creators have such volatile personalities?
Our emotions, spirit and soul are on our sleeve 24/7 it takes a special person to understand us and be able to appreciate it.
Do you consider yourself postmodern?
Sure.
How should a work of art be evaluated?
content, media, thought process, attempt, originality...the list continues!
Must an artist reinvent him/herself everyday?
not everyday.. some never, for me personally i NEED to move forward and reinvent. I get bored with the mundane...a lot of the time i get an idea and i have to almost purge it ASAP to be free of it for the next one!
Which artists do you admire and how do they influence your work?
All of the old masters........How can you not?
What do you think about public funding for the arts?
EXTREMELY important! Everyone should be able to experience art from the country to the inner city, having public funding allows this to happen.
Is art necessary?
Art is life and is in every molecule of life. We are all art!
Does it pain you to let go of a piece you have sold?
No, each piece is a part of me that I love sharing with others! There are always more pieces of art to be born and share! I try not to be selfish with art or life. Sharing and loving is what life is about!
Is a work of art purchased, or is it better said, that it is the artist who is bought?
Art is purchased and int hat purchase a piece of the artist is shared. People cant be bought.
In art, there is no guide. How do you know what the next step is?
it just comes to me and I trust it when it arrives!
What role have the figures of art dealer, gallery owners, representatives, and intermediaries in general played in your career?
They have played someone of a role but honestly i am in charge of my own destiny. I have never relied on others for my own success or to move ahead. They help don't get me wrong , but who else is going to have your best interest at heart besides yourself?
