What is your specialty? What subjects do you deal with?
My specialty is writing and multimedia. I have worked on multiple videos involving the six month anniversary of the Haiti earthquake and I have written stories for The Miami Herald, Teen Link South Florida, Outloud Multimedia, and Community Newspaper. I also have a constantly updated blog at http://acave5.blogspot.com
In which media do you presently work or have you worked?
I work with all forms of media, ranging from Social Media to Print. I have worked with all forms of media and look to expand with the multimedia aspect of things.

What is "news"?
News is information a viewer wants to read.
To you, what is objectivity?
Objectivity is how you view news from a different perspective.
What is the best headline you have ever read?
There are too many to choose from but a recent one would include, "It's all about the U."
What headline would you like to see printed one day in the newspaper?
"Haiti is the most prosperous country in Caribbean"
Which paper do you buy on Sundays? Where do you read it?
I buy the Miami Herald and I read it online as well.
Does freedom of expression end where the editorial line begins?
No, freedom of expression extends where the editorial line begins.
Do you feel that analytical and investigative journalism is being lost?
Yes, somewhat, but the youth of journalism is still alive and well.
With a camera on every mobile phone, is every citizen becoming a correspondent?
Yes, every citizen has that opportunity. Whether they want to or not is up to the individual.
How would you explain the boom of the tabloid press?
To put it simply, celebrity "mishaps."
What is your position regarding the right to privacy of famous people?
I am neutral on this issue.
What can you teach us about the art of the interview?
I believe one should not approach it as an interview, just act like you are talking to the person normal and informally.

Would you say the journalism blog is revolutionizing the profession?
Yes, to some extent.
Will the paper press disappear?
Yes, I believe so. The only print newspaper to gain readership in the last year was the St. Petersburg Times, and they're a non-profit newspaper, so that's telling you something.
What are your thoughts of the free papers distributed in cities?
I think they're a great way to gain exposure as a journalist.
What is the book you would like to write?
I would like to write about about my life.
Is there a motto or ethical principle that clarifies your decisions in moments of confusion?
"Do what's right."
What advice would you give to someone who has just left university and wishes to start in the profession?
Get your name out there as soon as possible.
