 | What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist? I am a painter,I paint with my heart,painting is my need and I have to paint. |
| What is your message? I want to tell a story.
I am using personal symbols to tell the story of thing which I care.
They come from nature and the relationahip between God/people/things/and me. |
| Your biography in four lines. I was born in Taiwan,Taipei.When I was 14,I want to become a painter,Thanks God--I am. |

| How is an idea born? For you, what is inspiration? I see things very directly.I only select the form and color which really speak to me.Painting is an attitude about life.Painting is a process of learinig.Painting is my life and anything could be part of life. |
| What role does technology play in your creative process? I don't think about it. |
| What is art? Waht is art? |
| When do you get your best ideas? The moment now. |
| How do you evaluate whether an idea is good or not? let the idea speak to itself and it will find the answer in its time. |
| Three creative ideas that you would have liked to have created? after a good show--in any form.

| When and how did you begin to see yourself as an artist? 1994~1995.I have to be myself. |
| Why do so many artists and creators have such volatile personalities? really? I think --maybe they are not an artist. |
| Do you consider yourself postmodern? Yes and I like it. |
| How should a work of art be evaluated? That is not my job. |
| Must an artist reinvent him/herself everyday? every moment--but you don't think it as a task. |
| Which artists do you admire and how do they influence your work? Matisse. Color! |
| What do you think about public funding for the arts? oh! we need more support. |
| Is art necessary? For the people with soul --the answer is :Yes. |
| Does it pain you to let go of a piece you have sold? I won't say it makes me feel "pain" but you need say good-by. |
| Is a work of art purchased, or is it better said, that it is the artist who is bought? Sorry,I don't understand the Question. |
| In art, there is no guide. How do you know what the next step is? it will tells you,if you listen. |
| How do you feel about the fact that the pieces exhibited in contemporary art museums are often of artists already deceased? ha! tell me. |
| What role have the figures of art dealer, gallery owners, representatives, and intermediaries in general played in your career? hopefully~they can play well. |
| What types of jobs do you usually do? I don't have a 9 to 5 job,but I paint,write,cook,walking around.... |
| Which of your jobs or tasks do you most enjoy? paint!paint!paint! |
| Do you personally collect any items? some...such as brush,hand paper,old cloth...
sometimes...trade. |
| Which websites do you frequently visit? google,weather. |
| What advice would you give to those just beginning? Ask yourself:who are you? what is your need but not what you want.
If you already know who are you --be you and enjoy.
If you are not so sure--find it out. |
