DESIGN
What is your specialty?
Design of slides, especially in PowerPoint. This includes background design, template design and design of templates for diagrams.
Ofcourse, our website presentation-process.com and buyapresentation.com is designed by us too.
Where can we view your portfolio online?
The page http://www.presentation-process.com/presentation-products. (...)
has a comprehensive list of our products and pages that showcase our designs.
What made you interested in design?
As we created presentations for our clients as part of our training business, we realized the importance of design as part of the whole experience. It was a great thing as going ahead,

I realized how much creativity and design was inherently a part of me. It was discovering a side that I never realized existed.
Have you received any awards for your work in the field of design?
Our design wins when customer buy and appreciate them. So, yes, in that way, since we have people buying our presentation templates and diagrams, we consider that a real award.
What is your motivation? What makes you get up in the mornings?
The best motivation is always learning. We are always trying new things, experimenting with software and exploring creative ideas. Its like drinking strong coffee. It keeps me going everyday.
How do you promote and move your work?
We do this in many ways. There are tutorials were we teach design through tutorials. Of course, we focus on PowerPoint skills.

We sell our templates through sites like Ghazoo and though tie ups with other PowerPoint-focused websites.

We are out there sharing our stuff on social media. Its a constant endeavor to reach out to presenters and help them find more professional and well-designed PowerPoint designs and Templates.
Shapes, color, concept: where do you usually begin when conceiving a design?
Design is not just about having beautiful or colorful elements. They need to be useful and meaningful too. We create content for ourselves and our clients and many of our designs is born from need.
What is your favourite type of customer?
Our favorite customers are those that provide us feedback. Meaningful criticism and feedback about usability of our templates keeps us learning and improving. So we love those who give us feedback.
To a certain point, is copying justifiable?
Naturally, as people who sell content and templates online, our answer is NO.

But, we do copy in one way or the other. We take designs from other fields and adapt it to ours. We look at billboards, brochures, architecture, nature, photos to get our inspiration.

But copying in terms of copying or re-selling the same design as ones own, is certainly not justifiable.
List some things you dislike seeing in design.
We have seen designs that look beautiful in themselves but are not usable.

Complex backgrounds and titles that take attention away from where it needs to be - too are not okay.
Which software applications do you most utilize in your work?
PowerPoint 2010 has become so powerful that other software are almost redundant for a presenter.
However, we do use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDraw to get specific results.
Up to what point do your designs reflect your personality?
As far as possible, our designs are focused on being business-like and professional. I think, at work, that pretty much defines our personality to the 'T'.

But sometimes the specific designs depends on client requirements, likes and dislikes. Then it reflects the client!
If you weren't a designer, what would you be doing?
My business is such that I cannot be just a designer. But it is definitely the part of the job I enjoy the most. If not designing presentations, I would have been designing software, which was part of my previous job role.
Which design resources online do you frequently visit?
I love the designs at www.psdgraphics.com. They are very high-quality and professional.
