| What made you interested in design? I always in love with fashion since my childhood. I used to love barbies and get dressed up with my motherīs clothes. My first and only option to degree was Fashion, and the desng is an extension of it. |
| Have you received any awards for your work in the field of design? Yes, i already won the Rio Moda Hype Prize, and razilian prize that launches new fashion designers providing them everything nescessary to do a Fashion show at the brazilian fashion week, called Fashio Rio. | What is your motivation? What makes you get up in the mornings? My main motivation is my family, without them i wouldnt be what i am now. Specially my father who is a great example as a motivated professional. I also have a energic fashion passion, and only to be dress up for the day, is something very motivating! |
| How would you define your design style? My desings are very personal and involved to things i like and live. At the same time i always searching for casual, usable and confortable desings. |
| How do you promote and move your work? Internet is a great tool to promote your work. But i think the best one is the mouth to mouth, cause when people know and get interested by your desings, it flows very naturally. |
| In which new areas would you like to experiment? I would like to get more involved with graphic desing, cause im still a very old school, who like to handdraw. |
| Shapes, color, concept: where do you usually begin when conceiving a design? As a fashion desingner the first thing that comes in my mind is the concept, then in order comes the shape and colors. |
| What are your sources for documentation and to generate ideas? For documentation and generate ideias, internet is a great tool. I also like to resarch in fashion books and magazines. |
| Which festivals or awards in your field do you find most interesting? In brazil we only started to have a great local awards now, called premio moda brazil in which i was nominated to send material but didnt have time at the point. |
| What is your favourite type of customer? The one who loves your desings so much and invite their friends to become costumers. |
| To a certain point, is copying justifiable? In a worldwide planet, we are all connect and the same ideas can come in different directions. But to do an exactly copy i think is a lack of imagination, cause people can always put a lil bit of yourself and make some changes. |

| Do you believe the newer generations are better at designing? More or less, cause people will always look at the past to get inpiration. But in the field of technic technology i think the newer generation will be better. |
| With which type of client would you decline in working for? I dont know... I think we can always addapt to the client. |
| How do you calculate budgets for a design project? This is a very difficult questions. I try as much as possible to work with the budget that i got, sometimes you need to overbudget to do a better job,so its a very dificult question. |
| Which professionals in your field -contemporary or past- do you most admire? My main muse is Vivienne Westwood, cause she does a very high fashion with a lot of her personality, and even with the time she never loose her identity and always get better.
In Brazil my favorite desingner is Alexandre Herchcovith. Hes desings are amazing, with great patterns and materials. The way he conducts his carrer is also a great goal. He is the most celebrated brazilain designer, with a lot products in many fields (furniture, china,bed linen, shoes, lighters...)and always with the best interprizes. He also have 3 brazilian stores, lots of sales points in worldwide and a own shop in Japan! |
| Which software applications do you most utilize in your work? Photoshop and Illustrator |
| Up to what point do your designs reflect your personality? i always try to bring my own personal tastes to my desings. Its easier to desing with references that you like. My desings are an extension of mt personality. |
| How do you distinguish passing fads from mainstays in new trends? I think passing fads are more into the fashion people, and mainstays is what get more mainstream. |
| If you weren't a designer, what would you be doing? I will woking with fashion anyway, as a stylish or wardrobe in tv. |
| Can you see yourself in this field twenty years from now? Yes i wold never leave fashion desing. |
| Which design resources online do you frequently visit? style.com, i.d magazine. vogue uk website and others... |
