COACH
What types of coaching do you do? Who are your clients?
I'm a Holistic Health & Lifestyle Coach. I coach and train clients who are interested to improve their Health, Lifestyle, Vitality and need step by step guidance. Not only coaching but also Physical Training is a part of my approach and clients all over The Netherlands seek me for help.
Can you provide a link to a site where we can get to know more about you, the type of work you do and/or the place where you do it?
How did you get into coaching?
As a spots Physiotherapist I was a bit unsatisfied with the results and attitude of my clients. The biggest question I was struggling with was; "How could I improve my therapy, approach and results?"
After 10 years I decided to quit my job and started as a Master Trainer for a company providing Personal Training. During some courses I met a dutch teacher and author (Paul Lammers) and he talked enthousiasticly about functional training etc etc. Of course I did some goolgling and got in contact with The CHEK Institute and seeked some information from a few Dutch CHEK Practitionars. I decided to take the HLC course I and II and the PPS Mastery Program.
Now I know by experience (Walk the Talk) that everybody can improve their Health, Vitality and Lifestyle by start change the way they think, breath, eat, drink, move and/or live.

Do you have innate qualities, or is it something that you learned?
Everything I teach and show is by personal experience. I'm only able to teach the stuff I've experienced and done myself. This is real KNOWING instead of "academic evidence". Look around you, the world is getting worse, people are getting sicker and gain more weight. Will evidence based science be the solution ? I don't think so! Use the good stuff, don't rely on it science alone. Nature knows the solution to a lot of problems we're dealing with, the solution is out there. We'll find it by changing our awareness; Try to become STILL and solution will pop up.
Can you describe briefly the technique or methodology you use?
Before getting started I'm having an interview about current situation, goals, health etc.
After That I decide which step(s) are gonna be easy with a large result.

The normal program would be;
1 Think right
2 Breath right, it's your primal nutrition
3 Drink right and enough
4 Eat the right food for your Metabolic Type
5 Live with the right sleap wake cycles
6 Move right to pump your body a get rid of your waste

Small steps and if possible a combination of small steps 1-6 will result in a massive improvement in Health, Energy, Vitality and Happiness

When the coach is confused or lost, where does he/she find a guide?
Share unconditional LOVE with client, be present with them, go out into Naure, meditate on it etc
What must the person you are helping contribute?
The commitment to change. It doesn't matter how little, but just change a few habits, thoughts or something else.
What motivates someone to work more efficiently?
Results, Results and results. Show them that being happy is just a state of mind. If you're able to be in the NOW you won't have problems. Be having this experiende they will be able to feel better and gain more energy to change. Little steps make a BIG difference!!
How do you work on the emotional plane?
Holistic means working on the Physial, Emotional, Mental en Spiritual body at once. There will be an influence on all four. Being present with my clients will provide Me the tools to work with. How? Simply by Intuition
Can positive thinking can be developed into a habit?
YES it can but not just by being the happy guy all the time. It's possible if you feel miserable to shift concience into the NOw and feel great again. It's up to You. You are not your MIND. Your mind is just addicted to information and labeling and loves to live in the PAST or the FUTURE. But after all there is only the NOW and in the NOW there are no problems. So maybe it's better to say; Postive felling instead of thinking and using the mind.
How does one learn to listen?
Try to become still. Smile to youself, to your soul, hug your soul/yourself. For me it works best if I go out into Nature. Nature absorbs negative energy and makes you still. Solution will pop up. And this certain solution will suprise you; It couldn't be made by thinking, by using the mind but through becoming still and go within yourself. Your SOUL already knows what you need most. Just become still so You can listen to your Soul and hear what it wants to tell You.
Listen to your Soul more often, send LOve to it. WHY? You / IT deserves it
How do you define the concept commitment? What importance does it have in the development of a person?
The only thing you can try to do is sharing unconditional love to others AND to YOURSELF (yous Soul). Be the best you can be. Don't blame yourself or others. Everybody is doing their best and everybody take their own path. There is no good , there is no bad the only thing there is ; is the NOW.
Both of the following are necessary, but how are dreaming and realism balanced?
What's real? What's a dream. Yo'll never know. Maybe it's all made up after all. It doesn't matter, does it?
Is it necessary at times to reorient a person’s desires and expectations?
People need feedback but not judgements
Discipline and creativity: are they two forces in opposition, or are they complementary?
I think a human being is a creative soul with endless possibilities. You are made to creat, it doesn't matter what. Discipline will help you, but you have to use it in a flexible way. If getting to your goal meets a lot of obstruction it's sometimes wise to change directions unless you keep focussed on your goal. Focus with looking around you, maybe opportunities will pop up and help you getting to your goal more easily or faster. Instead of discipline you should have PASSION, it's driven by LOVE. So forget discipline and find your passion and live will be great
What is usually the main obstacle your clients face?
The lack of (unconditional) LOVE to themselves
How do you know if a challenge is the right one for a person?
A slight change is already ok. You never know whether it's good or bad it's up to your client. If they feel better is
t's ok, if they feel bad it's ok too. Maybe they have to feel bad first and digest their problems before making progress. After all the body and mind hate changes and will react on it. Just feed your passion, your love for yourself and you know what you've done is the best thing you could do at that specific moment. Hey, and if you don't like the result; Do the Opposite!!!!!

The Universe around us. I try to become still, meditate on it, go out into Nature. Try to stop my MIND and find my creative energy.

Can an excess of self-esteem be the worst obstacle?
It can, when you're just made up by your EGO. Enjoy what you're achieved but ask yourself; Am I succesfull or Happy. Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what You get.
Happiness will last forever, Success won't! But it doesn't matter after all, everybody will meet obstacles. These obstacles are just opportunities to grow. I's up to you what to do with it
How do you recommend selecting a coach? Should it be someone who has followed the path that he/she wants to? Should it be someone they admire?
There should be a click, no matter what. Trust your gut and go for it. You can puck another one anytime. But everybody can contribute to your situation. It's up to You
If someone wants to initiate a self-transformation, what general advice would you give him/her?
Try to become still. Use music, go walk in nature and try to find your essence. Not by take course after course. You are already enlightened, it's IN you. Dig IN. Rely on your intuition,. When things a going to difficult try other ways, explore yourself. And of course it's not gonna be easy. Find people you like and love and share your feelings.
The solution is going within yourself, be still and try to quit your mind!
