What did you first read? How did you begin to write? Who were the first to read what you wrote?
Always read a lot as a child, from quite early. A lot of science fiction in high school, a lot of 19th century novels in university. From high school on, wrote many stories, plays, poems, songs, essays, and stylistic experiments.
What is your favorite genre? Can you provide a link to a site where we can read some of your work or learn something about it?
Two sites. For business writing, being mainly magazine articles and reports about information technology: bjdooley.com. For creative bits, including songs, stories and poems: bjdooley.info.
What is your creative process like? What happens before sitting down to write?
Creative bits generally just percolate up from somewhere, on no particular schedule. Sudden bursts of inspiration and energy.
What is your specialty? What subjects do you deal with?
Nearly everything in Information Technology and Telecommunications. Topics have included telecom markets all around the world, Business Intelligence, Collaborative Software, Elearning, Outsourcing, Innovation, Software Development, Backup and Storage Strategies, Risk Management, Return-on-Investment, Cloud Computing, Mainframes, PCs, Open Source Software, Security, Networking, Mobile Communictions,..... Etcetera.
