DESIGN
What is your specialty?
At Blink Design Studios Ltd we cover a range of services from logo design, print design and websites as well as illustration and product photography as well. We aim to be able to help clients with all their design needs by bringing in specialists from the areas relevant to their project, I guess you could say this means we have specialist knowledge in a huge range of areas.

Client wise we have experience with very large corporates, but also a lot of experience with local and smaller businessess and startups - helping businesses get off the grouond or grow and offering consultation and advice at every stage is something we love here at Blink.
Where can we view your portfolio online?
You can find out more about Blink Design Studios at http://www.weareblink.com to see examples of work, read about he company, see special offers and request a free no obligation quote for your design project.

You can also follow Blink on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/weareblink or follow on Linkedin at http://www.linkedin.com/company/blink-design-studios-weare (...)
What made you interested in design?
Art and design were always a passion from a young age and was a natural career choice. After 6 years working agency side I decided to strike out on my own and formed Blink Design Studios and have been loving every minute of it.
What has been your professional career path?
I naturally fell into design after studying art and design and from there built up my knowledge and began working for Lodon based design agencies. I was lucky to have the oppertunity to work on some amazing clients in the first 6 years of my career and enjoyed taking on challenges head on and learning new skills so I could always deliver the best result I could. From there I decided to set up on my own and after a year as a sole trader freelance designer I set up Blink Design Studios Ltd and haven't looked back since.
How do you promote and move your work?
A lot of our projects come from work of mouth recommendations and repeat businesses, which is always the dream of any company. New clients also find us online by following us on twitter @weareblink or through the site http://www.weareblink.com.
Shapes, color, concept: where do you usually begin when conceiving a design?
The first stage of any design is to fully understand the clients needs and what the design needs to do. Graphic design is more than just a pretty face - a good design will serve a purpose. From a flyer that advertises a discount and pursuades people to phone up, to a complex web interface which needs to sucessfully help a visitor navigate a lot of information, good design will always achieve a goal as well as be visually stunning to look at.
How do you calculate budgets for a design project?
We always offer clients free no obligation quotes via a form on our website http://www.weareblink.com/contact/get-your-free-quote/ (...)

When working out a quote we work with the clients needs. If they are unsure what they want from a project we put together a quote with essentials and also a lit of 'nice to have' extras they can cherry pick from so they can tailor their quote to their budget and timelines. We offer as much advice as the client needs to help ensure they get the right result, at a fair price and in good time.

To further help clients buget, we work out the quote and bill in stages and clearly cost up each item, so they always have a clear idea of where we are and how much they have spent.
Which software applications do you most utilize in your work?
We use whichever applications are best suited to the design project at hand; Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, Acrobat PDF and Dreamweaver are obvious choices, but we also have development experts who use various software for coding more complex languages for the web. There are always new technologies out there to learn as well, such as development kits for iPhones and mobile phone emulators which let you test mobile web content on different phone interfaces. It is really a case of knowing the best tool for the job.
Can you see yourself in this field twenty years from now?
Definately. Design is a passion and there are only going to be more fields within it to learn and more exciting developments as time goes on.
