What is your specialty? What applied knowledge and methods do you use in your work?
My specialty is Marine Engineering, i have passion for Mechanical repairs onboard foreign going ship. A great deal of my knowledge come from offshore engineering

How would you describe your professional strengths and weaknesses?
In my profession, my strength covers a lot of areas, am very good while working on marine boiler, generator and pumps, my weakness come in areas of volvo engine resetting, induction gear reduction and fault tracing.
What did you play with as a child? Does your profession have anything to do with your childhood toys?
As a child i always dream to be a priest. No
What role does creativity play in your work? Do you have leeway to develop innovative ideas?
Creativity plays alot in my field of profession because it hands me the opportunity to learn and design new things materials like nut, bolt and reshape tanks once worn out. It also gives me enough room to learn innovative ideas because i only work 6 hours a day
What type of technology do you use to develop your work?
Mechanical technology skills with respect to computer search and programming. I also use google search to aid in latest technology idea
Do you think you are up to date in your sector? How do you keep up to date?
Am not up to date, one can only be up to date in my field of profession once he or she has meet all the requirement of the company and has serve for up to 2-5 period of years with professional aids
Which is more important: meticulousness so as not to make mistakes or imagination to find innovative solutions?
Meticulousness so as not to make mistakes
What do you do about that stupid "bug" you’ve been trying to work out for five hours with no progress?
I seek for more advise and help from my superior engineers
Which do you prefer: to deal with technical problems or problems with clients?
To deal with technical problems
Do you need to be in good physical shape to do your work?
Yes of course, i need to be in good physical shape to avoid error and mistakes, even outside my job
Which university subject required the most from you in order to pass?

Ingenuity is culminated by putting your attention and mind in what you are doing and also be ready to listen to your client

to think well, do a neat and correct work so as to yield a quality work done

Yes i do have friends i share my technological idea with, but mostly from my school. Maritime Academy of Nigeria

Part time Marketing work in line with webdesigning in Australia
Aside from know-how, what qualities should an engineer have in order to be a successful professional?
Imaginative skill do help at times but engineer should always be ready to learn from the junior engineers if he really what to be a successful professional
When evaluating an employee or collaborator, what importance do you give to courses and certifications?
They should know that any engineer without a safety course certification and other engineering trade shortcourses certification in addition to thier degree certificate is not a complete engineering
Are you are satisfied with your current challenges? Would you like to deal with more difficult problems? If so, what kind?
Yes am satisfy with my current challenge, but i really want to upgrade my portfolio to help deal with future complex challenge
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself in five years in marine and offshore companies as an Expatriate once my dream program in Australia is completed
What advice do you give those who want to work in your field?
My advice is that in everything you do, always do it to our very best, be ready to learn and accept your mistakes. While in school; study, read, learn and share ideas with your colleague.
