 | What is your blog address? What subjects do you deal with? http://iquitelikegigs.wordpress.com Music, mainly new and live. |
| What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it? I created it after going to many live concerts and wanting to share my love of music & experiences with everyone. It's been live since early 2011. |
| What blogging system have you adopted and why? Wordpress because it's easy and popular |
| How many visits a day do you get? What type of comments do you receive? Varies with posts, from 5 - 50, average about 20. very little. |
| How has 'having a blog' contributed to your life? It's caused me to meet new people, learn of new music and given me something productive to do |
| Have you created relationships with other bloggers or readers of your blog? A few via sites I share posts on |
| How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part? Twice a week on average, the effort depends on the amount of content i can find to put in the blogs in terms of new/interesting music |
| Does blogging bring in income for you? Can one make a living from posting? Not currently, Probably via advertising and lots of traffic but for me it's not yet an option |
| How do you promote your blog? via social networks like twitter and tumblr, occassionally via word of mouth. Tagging posts gets views via search engines too. |
| How would you define your readers? Have you got a faithful audience? My readers are usually the same people so are definetely faithful, no matter how little of them there are |
| Have you ever received gifts for blogging about your opinion of products or services? What do you think of bloggers who do that? No but good for them, if they've blogged about it well and get a reward for that it's great |
| How do you see your blog evolving in the future? Hopefully getting a bigger audience & more frequent interesting posts |
| What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog? Go for it, if it's your first use a well known platform like wordpress or blogger for ease of use and just write whatever you feel because the audience you do attract regardless of size will be great |
