Interview with:DAK WAS HERE [dakwashere]
PHOTOGRAPHY
 | Do you have an online gallery where one can view your photos? At the moment NO. I will be launching my photography site in NOV this year!
I currently use my BLOG to showcase some of my photography and random observations of CA. I do have a flickr account to review my H20 / nature photography.

 | For how long have you done photography? How did you begin? I have been indirectly involved shooting photography for 19 years but seriously focused on it for the past (8) years. Started shooting film in College (Humboldt State University / Don Anton & Bill Thonson) and then started shooting digital in 2001. |
 | What has been your education as a photographer? Had photography course work in College. Other than that it has been a strict diet of GET OUT AND SHOOT! |
 | Please list any exhibitions in which you have participated. Loose Connections II '09 DEC, P. Kirkeby Studio / Group Show, Surf Photography
Loose Connections '07, P. Kirkeby Studio / Group Show, Surf Photography
Edge of West '08, Cole Cafe / Solo Show, Surf Photography |

 | What software and plug-ins do you use to retouch and manage your photos? Post process through PHOTOSHOP. |
 | Do you consider yourself more technical or more artistic? I definitely look at myself as more ARTISTIC and need to improve my technical skills. |
 | What have you learned about the art of framing and composition? COMPOSITION is huge. I've seen work that has so much potential but is composed horribly, it is shame to see that. FRAMING is almost just as important as the image and same observation as before. There is nothing more frustrating to me than to see beautiful work that is sloppily framed. |
BLOGGING
 | What is your blog address? What subjects do you deal with? http://nativeobservations.blogspot.com/
I write about and post images of my daily life in CA - a third generation perspective. I take samples in the form of PHOTOGRAPHY and WRITE about my observations. |
 | What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it? I'm relatively new to this medium and started JULY '09. I'm interested in pulling together photographic observations and stories about my native CA from a third generation perspective. |
 | What blogging system have you adopted and why? blogger.com / only resource I was aware of and recommended by friend. |
 | How many visits a day do you get? What type of comments do you receive? Do I get visits? I wish people would leave comments. I think the right people have not found my BLOG yet. Someone somewhere is out there looking for what I have to write about...I think. |
 | How has 'having a blog' contributed to your life? I really enjoy having a medium to share my images, thoughts and observations. I think I must get it from my Grandmother, she kept yearly diaries her whole life and I have them too. Cool to read about the day you were born. |
 | How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part? I post as often as I am able, I'd say 1-2 times per week. Some weeks I'm more prolific than others. |
 | How do you promote your blog? I'll start to promote my BLOG through my personal photography site when it goes live. And certainly through WHO-HUB!!! |
 | Are there any blogs you follow daily or regularly? Interestingly enough NO. While I'm excited to be on the "CONTENT" production side of blogging, I have yet to find a BLOG I'm really into. I think it is a really personal form of communication that really has to resonate with you on certain levels to draw your attention on a daily basis. |
