Interview with:Daniel Welsch [danielwelsch]
EDUCATION
What subjects do you teach? What types of students do you have? I teach English as a second language to professionals in Madrid, Spain. I also reach thousands of people every month through my website http://madridingles.es and my books at http://amazon.com/author/danielwelsch
How have your past experiences prepared you for teaching? How did you become interested in education? I really wasn't interested in education, because I didn't enjoy school very much. However, finding myself working as a teacher, I made the decision to do things differently. So far it seems to be working!
What is your educational philosophy? I make learning enjoyable. Most people have already tried learning through suffering and it usually doesn't work.
What is your philosophy on homework and grading? Students usually need to practice outside of class. I'm not really grading anybody, so my philosophy is to give them homework but don't worry if they don't do it. The motivated students will do it and get something out of it, the less motivated students won't. It's their responsibility.
