I love and enjoy them. I think the free papers have less journalistic integrity, but they aren't answering to a large media conglomerate and they can be more open and expressive. They'll also have the best things to do listed, the best restaurants, the best show openings, etc - because their advertisers and sponsors have much less control over this sort of thing.
