Lessons learnt on user interface design

Don't use flashing stars and lights and things jumping all over the place, they're only annoying.

Check and double check all your links. When you find a dead link, fix it right away. Don't count on the viewer to be patient.

Use a lot of space. A space chuck-full of pictures and text can be overwhelming. Spread things out, using a lot of space to make it easier on the eyes.

Leave your contact information in an easily accessible spot.

If you have objectionable material, clearly say so and don't put that kind of thing on your main page.
