If not, I hope so. That way it will make us professionals stay professional. Once someone learns to read a camera instruction book and make that camera do what they want it to do... Once someone learns all about a photo program and can make a photograph look just the way they want it to look... Once someone can understand all the different types of photography there is and how specialized each type is... If they go to all that trouble, perhaps we should call them professional. More importantly if they can’t do all those things and lots of other things that us professional photographers have to do day in and day out won’t our clients find out sooner or later?
