The means of expressing pain in order to overcome it often takes more than verbal expression. Artists "speak" in different ways, through their "art", or "artistic means of expression", be it drama, music, sculpture, writing, dance, design, or construction. Often it takes several of these for them to be comfortable enough to begin to do so, helpfully, on simply a verbal exchange level, with a qualified therapist. Beginning this process is often somewhat challenging, in a unique and comforting way. |
