Which decisions turn out better: the immediate, visceral ones, or the ones reached after mulling the matter over for a few days?

I think a combination of the two work together in coming up with good decisions. There are times where a quick turnaround is required, and a fast thinking solution is the best one. On other occasions, where the larger picture is concerned, mulling things for a few days brings a better response.

It all depends on the situation.
