I have been working with computers since I was 13, I think my first one was a Tandy 1600 from Radio Shack. But I really got my start with Social Media and the Web when I worked for an automotive company. My division did not have a budget for a lot of advertising, so I turned to the web and started interacting with the enthusiasts that liked the cars we built product for. Instead of placing thousands of dollars in ads in print media that may or may not reach our target audience, I could just log on and start interacting with them directly. It was a major shift in the traditional auto parts industry.
