In a fundamental way it is, but we don't have time to think about that while we're creating. Face it, most creative people are doing what they love outside of the structured corporate hierarchy. For most that entails a great financial sacrifice. So there is a great number of creative people who are intrinsically oriented against the dominant culture. Many creative people end up preyty bitter and disillusioned. Look at Mark Twain and Charles M. Schultz. How would you like to have had Robert Frost as your father?
