Good question. Anything can inspire me to write. Obviously, I read a lot of fantasy, but if I really think about my inspirations, I'd have to say classical literature is more prevalent. The main character for my first novel, Emerald, was modeled after Hamlet. I was intrigued with the reluctant hero motif and wanted to see if I could create my own.
