I was a novice at one time. I could still call myself a novice! I have burnt many dinners and used salt instead of sugar in many baked goods. The rewarding sensation of preparing delicious, healthy meals is compensation for many past failures. I would tell any novice that they should start small when conquering fears of cooking. And to remember that our bodies and our health is one of the more important things in our lives. And that learning to cook is not just a pastime but a responsibility we have to ourselves and to our families.
