I do comics and humorous work. I do classical easel painting, and have sold in galleries and collections, but I prefer to draw and make more obvious statements in my work. Painting doesn't allow me to be so obvious. Painting requires a level of obscurity to appeal to the buying audience. There's an academic statement I've heard that "painting can't be funny" - too bad for me.
