1. Write original stories, or partner with a friend who does.
2. Start shooting them for nothing on a phone or any camera to get good
3. Begin sharing them for free, and bring your audience to the one destination, mail list
4. Once you are getting good, LOVE creating, then crowd fund a little cash from those supporters.
5. Make more content cheaply, short or longer films, but enough that you can release almost weekly like youtubers to build the audience. (Give for free)
6. Get GREAT at what you do, and build other revenue streams around your work.
7. If you make great work, your audience will then support you.
8. Or try to make work to show to the industry, and work for others.
Don't expect to get paid until you're audience really LOVE what you do. |
