After graduating from the Ontario College of Art, I served an eight-month apprenticeship at Typsettra Ltd. under the late Les Usherwood, designer of many contemporary typefaces.
I then went to work for Chatelaine magazine, Canada's largest circulation monthly. That began a 10-year stint in the magazine industry, designing and art-directing titles like The City, City Woman, T.O., Executive and Saturday Night.
In 1982, I co-founded Reactor Art & Design Ltd, a design studio and illustration repping agency. As Creative Director, I worked with such clients as Roots Canada, Club Monaco, Bata Retail, Softkey Software and Alias Research among others.
Since 1995, I have been doing freelance design, illustration and consulting. My clients have included Sympatico Internet Service, Alias Systems, Adobe Systems, Adbeast Inc, Canada Post and others. I also teach part-time at the Ontario College of Art & Design. |
