I’ve always written for myself. As far as I see it, if you’re not writing for yourself, who ARE you writing for? Someone who’s paying you? Someone who WANTS you to write something? As far as I’m concerned, selling out because of success isn’t the thing to do. What’s the point of writing something you don’t want to write?
