WRITING

What did you first read? How did you begin to write? Who were the first to read what you wrote?

I was all about mystery, Agatha Christie, Nancy Drew, then I graduated to horror, Stephen King, Dean Koontz. The first thing I remember writing was a poem to my then newborn son. He's now 41!
28 years ago, I began "Ace of Hearts" on a dare from my sister, Lori. She said "You read so much, I bet you could write a book," and I said "I bet I could!" Thus began Ace's conception.
Family and friends were the first. Funny, because of its content, I was a little scared to give it to my parents, but I did. They loved it and encouraged me to get it published! And 26 years later, it was! I guess my motto is: NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAM!
