I first really got into reading when I was around seven, and it was Beverly Cleary's Ramona series. It was the first experience I had devouring books whole, and then searching frantically for the next so that I could continue the story. Now I am reading them to my daughter, who is seven, and almost the age I was when I enjoyed them so much.
