I am extremely lucky to have wonderful friends and colleagues who are medical illustrators. They are very helpful when I need advice and I do my best to return the favor when they call upon me. I am also a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, both of which have active list serves, publications and yearly meetings which I try to attend. It really helps to be part of such groups when one freelances.
