What past or present day illustrators do you admire most?

There are many, from the older ones, like Busino, Don Reilly, Robert Weber, George Booth, Modell, Whitney Darrow, Jr, Joseph Zeis, Sam Gross, Stan Fine, John Dempsey, Marty Murphy, Interlandi, Robert Day, Al Kaufman, Hank Ketcham, Sam Cobean, Tom Henderson, Al Caplan . . all had an effect on me plus others.
To the newer ones like Tom Cheney, Leighton, Patterson, and several others that have taken the time to sweat and have learned to give the craft of cartooning the respect it deserves, to make an honest attempt to show the world that you ARE a crtoonist, instead of just "CALLING YOURSELF A CARTOONIST ". Big difference, to me. I just don't like plumbers doing my fine cabinetwork. ( I don't enjoy seeing their attempts, either ).
