WRITING

What did you first read? How did you begin to write? Who were the first to read what you wrote?

Whohub

I read the readers; i.e., see Jane run etc.. I then read Black Beauty, Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates. I wrote a jingle for the Campbles soup contest at age 11 and won a magic Chef Stove/oven. I then wrote letters that were humorous while in the military. I wrote a poem about Cassius Clay when he beat Sonny Liston (the Bear) in Maine. I wrote a poem about my old Golden Gloves boxing coach. I began writing almost daily after a Traumatic Brain Injury sustained after falling from my vehicle while trying to stop a theft. I write about a variety of things; Philosophy, Political, humorous, and incidents that I either observe or am involved in. The people who began reading my material were my care givers. I have since won awards in regioanl creative writing contests with the Veterans Administration. i recently have a First place win that will go to the Nationals.
