I do everything I can to avoid sitting down: dishes, laundry, dusting, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and so on. But once I sit down and write it usually flows along pretty well. On average I can get 4-5 good hours a day in when I am writing. It has to be at home, usually alone, quiet, in my home office, at my desk, where I am comfortable. I don't do the writing in a coffee house thing and I don't understand how anyone can.
