I've evolved considerably in terms of finding talent. I used to swear only by auditions, but now that I've got good working relationships and a stronger network at my fingertips, I'm augmenting my casting gaps with phone calls and emails to talent that I think will fit. I still have them "read" for the part, but if I've seen them on screen before, then I'm usually pretty comfortable with a quick video submission to make sure they haven't lost their touch. |
