PROFESSION
Besides your current profession, what other things would you have liked to have been?
There are so many subjects that interest me. Weather, astrology, anatomy, art, acting, crafts, languages, and history. I feel like my rightful place resides in writing, but I can always learn more about these topics and incorporate them into my stories.
A fashion designer and stylist.
Rocket scientist, tango dancer, er, no. I started out thinking I would become a diplomat, studied languages and political philosophy, then bumped into Reager-era efforts to redefine the US state departement and the professional diplomatic corps. Then, I found an engaging vocation in studies of organizations and policy, then as a univerity faculty. Recently, for lots of reasons, I am fascinated by the bits of science I am learning as academic director for an Oxford program that brings doctoral students from the natural and exact sciences into conversation with entrepreneurial MBAs. The forms of knoweldge and the way 'science' works' is increasingly fascinating to me. Would that I had sought out more college geology or biology more.

An actor but I have no talent in that field.
So many things? I listened to Louis S.B.Leakey in the late 60's and I think it would be exciting to look at the orgins of humans!
I like politics, and was elected president of the Central Florida Federation of Teachers. That was in the 1970's. I like politics.
I had a counseling private practice until the government cancelled the license for the whole group of the organization I was a member of. I enjoyed doing that job.
Also I worked in drug treatment for 5 years and made speeches in various schools about drugs for the organization I worked for. I enjoyed that job. The Koala Treatment Centers closed in Florida. I could have moved to Tennessee, but I didn't want to. I passed the CAP test, and liked helping kids get off drugs -- it was a very important thing to do. It was hard to get another job like that one because I was not 'recovering' from any drug.
Own a little Bistro I love cooking for people.
I would have liked to have been an elementary school teacher.

An Architect or Interior Designer.
I'd want to be in a more creative area, I guess.
E.g. industrial design or architecture
An athlete, a journalist or a lawyer
A journalist. I am a great seeker of resources and information
My uncle once told me he thought I would be a nurse; I never considered that as I have a weak stomach. I've always journaled and I do dream of writing a book some day.
