Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why?
I only have a Sony, and it's been my faithful standby for the last three years, lol. It hasn't let me down yet!
My partner can go on forever with his answer, favouring Nikon. What I do is more of an artistic expression, for which I use various "experimental" cameras not typical of the equiment used in a session, and, being a die-hard film user, would have to think very, very hard about trading my Pentax. It does exactly what I want it to do.

Nikon. They are durable, accurate and consistant.

I have a variety of equipment but predominantly Nikon based for 35mm, Mamia for medium format and Toyo for 5x4 work. The reason for having various bits of kit is to use the best camera for the job
I'm a Canon man all the way - its what i started out on and has given me an awesome run so far
I dont believe there is any one brand better than another. I use all canon equipment with photogenic lighting. The reason I choose Canon was that the camera felt more natural i my hand and the controls were easier for me to find. God Bless Canon and the scroll wheel.
I started with a Nikon, just because. Now, their recent advances in noise reduction have me hooked.
I upgrade my equipment frequently, right now I use a Canon Digital SLR, Hasselblad medium format camera, a Fuji 6 X 17 Panoramic medium format 120mm film camera and a Sinar 4 X 5 P2 large format camera.
Canon, Nikon and Pentax. How could you go wrong with any of these?
Sony and Nikon have always had good luck
Nikon its the best camera Ive worked with and gives me exactly what I want when I want it.
Nikon lenses on my Nikon camera is very good and love them.
