Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why?
I have been a Nikon guy for many years. I don't play the Canon vs. Nikon game. Both are great cameras and the competition between the two only benefits the photographer in the long run. Since all my lenses are Nikon, it would be a huge investment to switch camera models at this point.
canon, because thats the camera i have.
We use Canon. I used a Nikon when I worked for a company and I liked it as well, but all of our camera equipment in Canon. From what I know, they all are very good brands, they all have their issues, and they are all going to get the job done. It's the photographer who achieves the results, not the camera.
I use a Canon 20D for most of my work. I like that I can use and reuse my memory cards, that changing cards is as simple as ejecting a full card and inserting a new one.
I still have my Canon SLR for film as well as a small collection of DLR's, Brownies and a 4x5 press camera.
Canon, for its high quality image and details and also its almost natural colors.

I currently use Olympus 4/3rd cameras. I also have the Panasonic G1, which is cool. I use a Ricoh GRD II also. I still have film cameras. I think cameras are cool and I have fun using them and learning about them.
Size is important to me, quick focus, cost, technology, but size is crucial if I am going to wander around. Weather proofing is also valuable.
I use Canon equipment, and if I didn't I would use Nikon. Both are very reliable systems.
Nikon. They are good enough, why change?
Pentax, underdog with reasonable price with features I need.
I'm a Canon loyalist all the way!
Canon. All about the branding and history.
I use a Nikon D40 and I'll probably stay with Nikon because all my attachments are Nikon. It does what I need it to do. |
