Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why?

Whohub

So far I have only had the pleasure of using a Nikon. However, I'm more than certain that Canons work somewhat better, so in the future i will try to aim for a Canon!

To place bets is something that brokers do, not photographers.

Canon, because the results from it has beautiful colors, and also its really easy to use.

Nikon D700 and Fuji S3. I actually have a full size billboard on Rt3 NJ that I shot 3 sports celebrities with that Fuji S3!

I've recently switched to Canon, because I find their design, electronics and lenses superior. The high quality digital files cannot be beat.

Nikon. I'm a Nikon user and my first photography I used old Nikon SLR, i'm get used with the Nikon function. Besides, Nikon show true colour of a subject rather than other competitors.

Olympus for now, maybe later nikon. And what for? I don't know.

I've used an Olympus camera for several years and like it as I know how it works and it has done great for me.

I'm not a brand snob and beyond a certain level of quality, I really don't care about features and fine quality matters. I began my career shooting with a Pentax, eventually shot with Hasselblad and Mamiya and before settling on Canon as the platform for digital photography, messed around with Minolta and Nikon prosumer cameras. When I look at old negatives and captures, I don't remember what camera took what and it really doesn't matter, what matters is content and image quality and I haven't found that many sharp divisions between cameras and lenses in retrospect, what really matters is what I knew and how I applied it to creating the images.

Pentax. Best value in it's class, great glass, small in size (at least my K-7), etc.

Canon - it's what I started out with, and I chose to stick with it. Canon made the first digital cameras, so when I changed from film camera to digital I stayed with Canon, so I could use my film camera lens as an additional lens.

Canon..... why? brand loyalty :)

nikon. it just feels right.

I mainly use my canon camera and lenses, but I have a sigma lens that takes wonderful shots as well. I also have an old Olympus that I loved very much. I wouldn't have any problems using a Nikon either. They're wonderful cameras.
