Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why?
canon, the quality and durability of equipaments are better than others!
I use a Hasselblad and digital back and sometimes a view camera as I think it is next level in terms of the quality of image and also lends itself to architectural imagery.
Canon, always have used them and they haven't let me down, the interface is very well laid out to the point that basic operations can be done without reading the manual, I like that.
Nikon Because its an investment for the future.
Pentax because its underrated and an awesome camera.
Honestly though I don't believe any brand is better than others, some are more popular but doesn't mean they're better.
I am a complete brand agnostic. Just don't care anymore: the image is the only thing that matters. I do like gear as much as the next guy, it's just that I finally realize that more gear will not make my images better. The only thing that more gear can provide is additional flexibility, and the ability to create images in more varied situations. Gear, in and of itself, is not capable of creating strong images on its own
Canon - I have a strong bond to that brand and they have never disappointed me. The 5D Mark ii was a triumph which is still going strong and is widely used in the professional field. The versatility of the camera is unmatched, in my opinion.
Canon because I started investing in this brand but I don't think there are bad cameras. Any brand is doing great cameras.
Well, digitally Canon has the edge I think. But I shoot medium format film, Bronica to be specific.
Well, back when I was a serious photographer, I always had a Canon SLR. Now I have a Sony Cyber-Shot that I'm totally happy with except that it has no depth of field. Or I haven't figured out how to override the automatic exposure system so I can stop it down.
I love my Pentax K-7 digital SLR and my Holga and Slim Angel film cameras.
I'm a die-hard Canon user, but would prefer to shoot only Leica. Maybe someday.
It doesn't matter. A camera is a box with a button I use to make pictures.
Have used Canon in the past, now though my preference is for Pentax. Like the product and it suits my current requirements.
