Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why?

Fuji cameras are my first choice. The cameras I use reflects that I don't need the most expensive camera, I just need a camera that works for what I do as a photographer. Fuji cameras are easy to use and understand and it's also very portable with a small bag that fits in my parachute purse (Reaction) by Kenneth Cole.
Hasselblad 501CM. I prefer medium format film for the character, density and depth of the picture. The format allows me to see the whole photo even before it's taken.
nikon is what i have and what i would go for having to start again
it depens on what you want:
for the compact camera's: Canon with their standard housing is very well performing
Sony and Intova are also allright in this category.
For digital, I shoot Canon because I like their products. People will argue Canon vs. Nikon til the end of time, but the truth is: equipment is only a small portion of the tools needed to shoot quality images. Anyone can purchase a camera, seldom will make good use of it.
I was a Nikon user for a while and I really like them, but between Nikon the colors change and you cannot get the same result with all of them, although the measuring point and the focusing is very good.
Now Im a Canon user and I like to work with them, the colors are pretty nice, and Im getting used to the menus and functions on the cameras I think they are really easy.
Doesn't really matter, but I currently use both Nikon and the Phase One 645 system
Canon, everyone knows why, it's like asking why it's the first choice in the list of cameras?
i bought my firs DLSR Nikon but im not a "Nikon Fan" actually Nikon and Canon are maybe 2 of the best brands of the world but actually i bought a nikon because i didnt have mor money to buy a canon (t3i) so... you know... we are not in the best economical moment of the history.
The best Nikon equipment because quality is important and Nikon generally comes out ahead. |
