What do you try to express through your photography?
I try to capture the true beauty of the subject I am photographing. I want people to see the beauty of what I seen at that moment in time.
My world I guess
I don't like to capture "reality". I prefer to capture a mood, a fleeting expression, a combination of colours, the unexpected. I don't like posed photographs, so I try to capture something unexpected. For me, photography is about the way I view the world; it's an interpretation and reconstruction of a world that I see and interact with. I am the storyteller, telling the story as I hear it, see it.
Imagine an iceberg, what you normaly see is only the summit, but underwater there is the 90 % of the body.
That is what I try to express through my photo the hidden things we all have the dreams, the nightmares my true self.
I make ordinary situations look better. My added value (what i get paid for) is creating contemporary creative images out of rather testing situations. I love to do this, its where creativity becomes a positive skill.
It depends...
If the image is not self produced I am trying to catch time and space. If the image is produced I try to communicate something related to the subject
I always feel the extreme creates an impression
Well i try to get across something quite different and exciting because i know that photography is very full with lots of talent. Hopefully i achieve that with my work.
In my professional work I try to capture the vision of the architect/designer. Documenting the work in a clear exciting way.
the expression is in the eye of the person or persons looking at the picture it can be different for each person
my engagement with this green globe, sustainability
Commercially the message the client wishes to communicate, personally a range of concepts and ideas that illuminate and describe in non verbal ways how it feels
I am a very truthful person, I really have a problems with lies: I always have to tell the truth! In my photography I tend to express all I think with no filter, no matter how unpleasant or politically uncorrect it might be.
I would like my images to tell something USEFUL, not to just be "good" and somehow pleasant to the eye. There are so many good-looking things nowadays, I believe art should try and help changing the wrong things happening in the world (or, at least, I would like my photography to do that).
I try to express the emotion of the situation I am shooting. If it is of a beach scene sunset, I would want the viewer to feel relaxed and calm, etc.
i try to make people see that peoples imagination has no limits. |
