What do you try to express through your photography?
Basic human emotions and feelings cannot be described.

With street photography, I try to capture a moment in time. Being a fan of Vancouver photographer Fred Herzog, I tried my hand at taking photos of graffiti art, different parts of BC, Oregon and Washington. Sometimes you get great shots and other times not so good.
With live band photography, I try and capture how hard it is for bands/artists to tour in any capacity. I admire and respect how individuals in a band or an artist on his/her own experiences of loneliness, boredom and missing their families and close friends.
I try to use it as an instrument or medium to study the relationship between people and the landscape that surrounds them.

I create images I would want to view or own. My images are usually carefree, playful and a tad voyeuristic. My main mission is to surround myself with photos that look like they were shot in the 60s and 70s in order to vicariously live in those decades.

I'm always trying to express feelings that contributes to the story I'm trying to tell within my pictures. That's a thing that I think most photographers do but not really succeeding with, I think it's a thing that goes hand in hand with your personal development, the pictures should reflect you as a person and I think that changes from time to time.

Identifying a narrative and finding icons to express my clients concerns. I also have to extend my sense of being human to help make it understood universally. But it depends – it might be strictly a statement about color, composition, or the moment depending on the assignment. |
