For how long have you done photography? How did you begin?

Whohub

Ever since I was in High School, I've enjoyed the art of photography. My parents would ask me why I was taking pictures of plants and the ground and scenery instead of normal people only photographs that everyone likes to take? I always had an eye for seeing the world around me and it's beauty and have wanted to capture it in its moment of grandeur for all the world to see. When you capture nature's beauty in a moment, you have captured a masterpiece each time -- God's glorious handiwork! As I got older, got married, and we traveled to many places in this world, I missed the opportunity to capture some of those wonderful things. I went to Paris, many places in Germany, visited many castles and did capture the pictures, but we did not have the luxury of awesome digital cameras. My husband saw my knack for photography when he bought me one of the first digital cameras that was on the open market. I was not limited any longer to film and having my photos developed by someone else.

A friend of mine asked me to take photos at a special event. I used a small digital camera, but when my batteries ran out, I used a friend's digital camera and the photos were all blurry. All of the photos I took outside with my own camera came out wonderful... nonetheless, I was really upset. We managed to scrapbook a wonderful Album for the family, but I vowed to have better equipment if ever asked to do such a thing again. So, that was the beginning of A & D Productions by Debbie Christian http://www.adproductionsbydkc.com.

For many years. I began when I was about 13 years old.

18 years. Began by assisting other photographers.

I have been a photojournalist for about four years now, but before that I worked on a ship and have done various freelance jobs.

First became interested around 16 years old but chose a career in computers. About 20 yeras ago the bug truly bit and I embarked upon the current journey of becoming the photographer I am today, ever curious and an advocate of pictures are made in the camera nad not in photoshop.

For many years, started as child.

I've been shooting professionally for approximately 5 years. I began by attending the southeast center for photographic studies in Daytona Beach, Florida.

I've been shooting for about 30 years. Started in college, and it just took off from there.

I have always been interested and fasinated by photography. It wasn't until
5 years ago that I pursued it professionally and began earning degrees and awards.

I began with a Fuji finepix s9100 camera and hope. I just went out and took
pictures of everything that crossed my path. Pretty soon I was inspired by
most living and nonliving things and thus here I am today.

I majored in photography when I studied Graphic Design in the 80's.

I was conscripted into the army straight out of college and once I finished my courses, worked in the army (school of Engineers) media before working as an operational photographer.

So I have been 'doing' photography for about 20 odd years,

I got my first camera around 1966, it was a Agfa 120. From there It was my mums sister Wendy and John her husband who I watched, they had a photographic business till last year.
There have been 9 photographers in my family so it is very much in my blood.

After studying Economy, I became an Editor.....then studied Photography and became a photographer.
My career spends decades of image making.

More than 15 years. After working for a camera wholesaler then a B & W laboratory, I went to Sydney and completed a two year TAFE course in photography.
I also assisted full time then went freelance assisting until I was gradually shooting my own jobs.

I've been interested in it since I was a kid, my Grandmother gave me a Nikon EM SLR that was too complicated for her to use. I've been shooting since 2004. I was lucky to 'see the light' early on, I'm a photographer for the U.S. Coast Guard primarily.

25 years.
