What advice would you give to someone just starting out in acting?

Pray a lot be determined and remember you dont succeed in this industry just because you want to, you succeed because you have to.

Training is so important. Too many people don't train and don't pay for coaching for their big auditions. That is a mistake. You have to be at your best every time you walk into a room. You aren't just auditioning for that role, but every role that person is ever casting again. Confidence, Positivity, and A Sense of Humor are keys to longevity.

Find a few classes and when those get comfortable find new ones. Watch a lot of film and TV to understand what is marketable today. Go on as many auditions as you can schedule and learn something from each one. Build relationships.

If it's in your heart and your soul and you dream about it every night then stick with it and make it happen. It's not always easy but if you really want to do it, then there is no other option than to dive in, stick with it, never give up on yourself and never be put off by other people's "good advice"!

Make sure you truly love the craft. Acting is not a career unless you love it despite the lows. If you want to be an actor just to be famous, you will never be happy.

Stick to your guns, work hard. That is how dreams are achieved.

Follow your heart. If it is what you truly love, there is nothing like it. If you only kinda want to be an actor, you may only kinda be an actor. Either way..you hope you get out of it what you put into it. And.. there is always that lucky timing of right place, right time, right part. Never let any one person tell you that you'll never make it.

Get a thick skin and realize the knock backs are part of the job and not a personal dig at you. And the audition should be as fun as the job, if you hate auditions learn to love them and find them as an opportunity to show what you can do.

I would say, don't make it your whole life. Have other hobbies and backup plans. Be rational, don't expect the whole world in a short time. Really do take baby steps. Map out short-term goals like stepping stones.

"Frustration is a pressure cooker."

You have to give your all the first time because you may never get a second chance.

practice more n more n never give up

give it your best shot and have fun

See everything you can, get involved in as much as you can (safely, with reputable people) read as much as you can.

Get to know yourself, try meditation as a means to do this, excercise regularly, learn how to listen, donot drink cheap Tequila and never ever give up
