ACTING
Has there been a role that has been especially difficult for you?
no
I DONT WANT TO SOUND EGOTISTICAL BUT NO - WITH ENOUGH PREPARATION AND COMMITMENT IT SHOULDN'T BE HARD WORK
Craving for that role!
singing in 'The Hired Man' was tough because Im not a stereotypical musical theatre bod... it pushed my stamina!
Nope. There hasn't ever been a role that was difficult to adjust to.
Yes playing mama from raisin in the sun for a class. Because her character is much older and it was hard because I had never did a role that extreme before.
I once had to play a Native American boy in a stage retelling of an old Native American folk tale. There was a challenge in grounding the character in a believable reality while allowing his metaphysical abilities to manifest in an interesting way. There were a lot of changing motivations throughout the play, and we had considerably little time to rehearse.
Yes, ironically enough it was the character I played in my Showcase at the end of my training. Although on paper the character was perfect for me in reality I had no emotional connection with her at all. I was struggling to even sympathise with her. It was an extremely difficult part to work on.
Not yet but Im sure there will be in the future.
no, not really,.....playing a dying cancer patient when the world was ending was interesting,....
Anything lots of yelling and violent deaths.
