What is the archetypal character in which you tend to be typecast?
I guess I have been cast in a fair amount of period roles. The English Rose. I don't mind this, as long as it's not the only thing I am cast in.
In my younger days, always the villain. Now, irrascible, evil but nevertheless likeable figures at the edge of the establishment.
No I don't think so. I go up for a variety of things.
eccentrics, neurotics, mums, aunties, etc.
My roles are completely varied,
Eccentrics
With my hair down -
Mum/best friend/businesswoman/lover/mistress etc - friendly/harassed/coping/strong
With my hair up -
Teacher/Landlady/Businesswoman/Policewoman etc - strict/frightening/scary/authoritarian
Funny guy, violent guy, character actor.
Teenager! On stage and screen!
Well, I would like to try all kind of characters. After all, that is what acting is all about. If the director feels I may fit in the character he wishes to portray, I would do it if it impresses me.
comedian.....negative charecters.....
I have many faces on the stage. In my early years, though, I was type-cast to be a ditz or a teenage girl.
the character i would want to be in a production is a lead. the reaseon is because i am a guy with a lot of characteristics. i am a likeable person who knows when to be sirous. so i am really dependable
I definitely think best friend, good guy next door fits me best.
By God's grace, I haven't been typecast. I have performed roles playing a Queen in a Shakespeare production too playing a little girl born in a box.
Take a look at me and I think you can guess that. |
