At what stage in your career did you realise that acting could be something you do professionally?
When I had to guard my thoughts 24 hours a day.
I think around about yr 10 at school, which was when i was 13, I always wanted to do acting as a child, but i had health problems, and i wanted to focus on school work. However, i've always been interested in the art itself, i liked watching plays, and i love films.
I don't have oportunity but I appreciate with one person give me a opportunity
After performing in a community theatre production in a main house stage.
It can be? Oh that's great news - mom I'm going to be rich!
July 2001 is when I started to actively consider it, then in December 2005 it was reaffirmed.
When I was invited by a stage director.She gave several hints about a good acting and she said that I should learn it seriously.

I have always considered it part of the package with doing instructional gardening videos or any other career. Acting classes helped me with so many skills.
that's was when i was 16years back in College Lagos Nigeria a burning lost desire suddenly resurrected and that was my passion for acting which i substituted for science but i was able to find what really makes me happy and i followed it all through then
My senior year of high school, I had an English teacher who highly encouraged me to pursue my gifts on stage. I had entertained the idea before this, but I never took it seriously. She helped me view it as a legitimate occupational choice.

I had no interest in doing what I was good at for free. There are reasons for doing what you do. One can do it for the love it, yes, and I do. But to do what you love to do and make a living at it, is one of the gifts of life. I'm grateful
I think I realised at the time before I got an agent, I knew from a young age I was good at acting but I never really saw it to be a career path I'd take on. I did though, after getting a lot of praise and encouragement to begin a professional acting career.
I booked a really big commercial playing opposite Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker from Star Wars) when I was in highschool. It was the same weekend as my senior prom. Best weekend of my life to date, but I knew then it was only gonna get better! |
