In your opinion, which company helps software developers the most?
In my opinion, companies aren't the biggest help, the community is. Most of the time companies provide the tools, developers in the community provide the solutions. A prime example is the DirectX SDK. There is tons of technical documentation on the built-in functions, but unless I talk to someone about it who knows what it does, I probably wouldn't know how it works from a hole in the ground.
Microsoft and the MSDN
There are a lot of companies offering services to software developers out there. Most make promising claims in their marketing campaigns as well. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I have not personally had the need for such companies during my career.

i like java sun company.
Excuse me while I put on my Kevalr vest but, Microsoft. They ahve created a common platform that has widespread acceptance, they have programs that ensure that students have access to teh best tools and platofrms, legally, and they have freebie versions for the hobbists. I like the other platforms and options that are there, but Microsoft takes the gold on this.
Novell
In my opinion, its between Google and Microsoft.
Microsoft, by far. .NET, the common runtime language, and Visual Studio are, in my opinion, the developers' best friends.
I think Microsoft making our life very easy
macrosoft.
Don't know.
Eclipse, since if has plug-ins for virtually everything you can think of, helps developers from having to run/switch to multiple programs while developing.
Don't know enough about enough companies to answer a question like that.
