Music, Nature and unplugging. I play drums and am in a band that lets me have a personal, non job based, creative outlet. I enjoy rock-climbing or hiking in nature, and this allows me to get outside and unplug!
Spend time with the family, walk the dog, cook, bake, try a new wine, spend time with a friend, crochet, read, go for a swim, spend time volunteering...........
Listen to music...
Be with family...
Gardening and sleep.
I really haven't dealt well until recently. Now I take a "do-over", step back from the project, regain my bearings, breathe deeply and begin again. Followed by the obligatory "Repeat when necessary" I also have 5 "panic envelopes" that reveal my good qualities when I am in a bad mindset.
I take 5, unwind and get back to work when my head is clear.
Breathe and take naps. After all, we're freelancers. We can do that!
Ride my bike, it clears my head and reduces my stress levels
I get massages on a regular basis. I also read story books to help me escape reality for a little while!
By watching TV-series, and not film!
Exercise by walking; writing because it takes my mind off everything else; boating because it has so many variables you have to pay attention
All kinds of things! I train in martial arts (hitting stuff is a great stress reliever), play a variety of games, read books, sleep, cook, eat, drink. Having a fulfilling personal life and a variety of interests means always having something to look forward to even when things get stressful at work, so the stress doesn't bother me much to begin with.
Walk, spend time with my family, increase my intake of H2O. |
