Do you have a website or blog? How was the process in making it? Does it accomplish the purpose for which it was created?
Yes I have a website www.completeva.co.uk My first experience was a disaster, but I then used Sally Walker she specialises in Virtual Assistant websites and was blown away with her enthusiasm and expertise.
I write a blog called 'The CAD Setter Out'.

From the very first day that I sat down in front of a computer and started drawing with AutoCAD I realized that I had found my vocation.
Being that I was sat in front of a computer - I surfed the Net and found out as much as I could about CAD that would help me to become a better drafter.
What surprised me was that my colleagues were not doing this. I soon had a reputation as the office CAD geek, and I found that people were coming to me for help.
I started off Emailing the resources that I had found on the web to my colleagues. Eventually I figured out that hosting these links on a blog would give me a database of information that I could refer back to at any point.
After six months or so of blogging, I realized that it wasn't just my colleagues that were reading The CAD Setter Out - the whole world was tuning in. At this point I started taking blogging more seriously!

It definately serves the purpose for getting me hired to speak or endorse products.
I have both, but my blog is where I pour out all my creativity and scratch that research itch.

The vision behind it was to share the knowledge I picked up on dogs through my studies and literature research. The subject of dogs is riddled with misinformation so I joined the ranks of the 'knights of truth' to get rid of the apocryphal, romanticised, stories about dog behaviour.
We have many corporate sites and a corporate blog (I do not have personal ones yet, but plan to in the future). Yes they accomplish the process for which they were intended.

My website where I blog is www.jbbusch.com "JB Busch, Get Organized With Me." I was hesitant creating it. While I enjoy writing I didn't know if I was ready to raise my voice to be heard and if what I wanted to say would be beneficial to others. I'm glad I created it and I'm actively posting to it so it's serving its purpose. |
