How did you begin programming and at what age?

Early days when I was 12 and programming with HyperCard on the Mac Classic. Then turned to Web which was just plain HTML then and AOL was the dominator. 

At the age of 14 I started taking apart visual basic programs that came with the first computer i owned (TI). 

Ever since I receive my first video game machine at 4 years old I have had an interest in computers. In particular I was interested in how games were made. As I got older that interest developed into an interest in programming things and making them work. 

Since a young age, software in general has always interested me. It wasn't until around the age of 17 that I honed my skills in many different programming languages, and ventured into the field of software development. 

1980, about age of 27. I was working as a coommercial fisherman at the time, and was frustrated - no majik in my life. Brother responded "Computers are majik"... I signed up for a BASIC computer programming class at the local junior college (MDCC) and never looked back. I was tuturing students before the end of the semester and working in the computer labs mid way through my second class. 

in 1998, about age of 14. I took an Electronics and Computer Science in my High School. And i'm start with a procedural (structural) programming like Basic and Pascal. And then Object Oriented Programming, like Java. 

begin from university, 19 years old. 

I begin programming 2 months before my 30th birthday, when I'm employed by DTK company as a BIOS apprentice engineer after I quit my job at T&W company as a technical support. 

I started programming back in High school. First, I started with Basic language by executing small programs. When I joint the college, I began programming in C, C++ and C# (MS Visual Studio.NET). Additionally, I learned ASP and ASP.NET. In my professional experience I programmed in UNIX environment by using shell programming and scripting languages. 

because of my major of computer science,I begin programming at 17. 

I begin from university, 19 years old 

I begin programming when i start study in Information Technology field and at the time my age is 20. 

I began programming in first year of University in 2003. I was 18 back then. Java was my first language. 

I was part of a sporting club that needed a website, I was 16 at the time. 

I guess I was about 15 years old. I had been anxious to get into programming, or "computers" as was common at the time, and had my first course in Grade 10. I was given an IBM PC jr in the fall and wrote my first distributed program, a math tutoring program, and sold it for $10 per copy to teachers at Humber College for their kids.
